Hey Tom, how about an update on the 1P goings on at Hard Times? Give us the inside poop...:cool: Did our man John Henderson make it back from his family emergency to play?

I made it back Doc, but I left my game at home. Will try again tomorrow from the losers side. John

Lots of after hours action last nite. As a rule, I don't do any action reports. Lots of players would rather this side go un-reported.

Francisco put a whooping on Rafael in their first round match.

Random Draws are hellish on match ups in these tournaments.

I watched part of John Henderson's match with Ron Lilly. I've never seen Ron play so well. He was bank combo-ing long railing and playing lock up safes. John only made a few bad shots but they were costly. Ron's play was a tough fade.

John will do better I am sure.

Tony Chohan and Bustamante in the One Pocket finals kicking off a single race to five, according to Tom a few minutes ago...

Let's see, what's the over/under on how long those two take in a race to five?

I will say one hour and 20 minutes -- only because they both will take 5+ minute breaks :)

Well it took only 30 minutes to play the first 3 games, but after the score was 3-1 Tony, Busty started to play some incredible safeties. Tony kept hanging balls near his own pocket and Butsy would just keep popping the balls out and leaving whitey parked in front of Tony's pocket.

When the score was 4-3 Busty, Tony was breaking, made a ball in his pocket off the break and ran 3 more. That game was less than 10 minutes with Tony wining and making the score 4-4.

Game 9 took at least 40 minutes maybe more. Busty didn't try and fancy shots and took the safe route. Tony only took one or two (what I would call) risky shots and made both.

The match started at 8pm and was over just a little after 11.
