There's a chance I may have to spend a couple of days in Arizona next month, around a town called Prescott. I've never been, but Google shows a place called Spanky's Backstreet Billiards there.

Is it worth a stop?

I have never been to Spankys but if you can make the hall come to Kolbys,Scott Frost plays out of there and maybe Dick will stop by too,would be nice to meet you Lou. :)

Good grief! I'd like to meet y'all too -- but isn't that in Tempe, like 2 hours away?!

Lou,

There is an action joint in Prescott Valley, which is a suburb of Prescott which has become much larger. I don't know the names of the places off the top of my head. Prescott is one of the neatest places in our fair state. Give me a call if you get out this way. I'll have more info for you. Prescott is only 90 miles north of Phx., but much cooler.

Things are different out here. You can drive 90 miles quicker than you can get from the Loop to O'Hare. And you'll see some pretty country too. :)
Don't forget to call, I'll teach you how to buy drinks. :cool:

Things are different out here. You can drive 90 miles quicker than you can get from the Loop to O'Hare. And you'll see some pretty country too. :)

As Redford said to Newman in "The Sting" When he was sitting in the bathtub,( Newman's character was supposed to teach Redford how to steal) Newman was drunk, and Redford said "I allready know how to drink, I thought you were going to teach me how to steal". That movie was more about OUR lifestyle, than either "The Hustler" or TCOM. Am I wrong about that ?

OK, it looks like I will be in Prescott tomorrow. Is there a room there worth playing at?

And, I can make it to Phoenix, or Tempe, or Scottsdale, Thursday, for a few hours of day time play, if anyone wants to tell me what room to go to.

After my disastrous play in Gulfport, I'm not looking for any Scott Frosts, just some friendly $20 play for a couple of hours, maybe between 12 and 3pm. If one of you desert rats can do, let me know where to show up Thursday.

You have no chance to make a big score in Phoenix if you are relying on your mis-information on how to match up with me. I am trap-proof. People I used to spot, just a few years ago, are now spotting me, and I still can't win. :eek:

Anywhos, Fast Lenny did show and showed a lot of flash, speed and heart. He's going to be dangerous player with a couple more year's seasoning -- Thanks Lenny for showin' up to say hi and all your good work for the sport streaming the vid! (I think I may duck you next trip.)

Thanks for the kind words Lou,I have 5 years playing time,perhaps in another 5 years I might be semi-dangerous,haha,it was a pleasure meeting you and I enjoyed the games.If I make it to Derby we will play again sociably as we did,it was fun. :)
