while attempting to bridge over the stack or a ball the player makes a good hit on object ball but after strikes another ball with the side of his cue sending the second ball into any other pocket but his own. the swiped ball does not contact any other balls. i know this ball must be replaced, but WHERE? does the player OWE a ball ? if the player shooting happens to make the ball that he legally hit does he keep shooting - - if that is the case, when does the swiped ball be replaced on the table?

The player would keep shooting after the opponent replaced the ball as close as possible to where he thought it was, and this is whether the shooter made the ball or not. No penalty.
