The Break

Something to this effect was posted over on AZ a few days ago, and I wanted to make sure the members of this forum received its benefit.

The original poster on AZ Billiards was advising another member to think of the one pocket break not an attempt to strike the head ball and second ball simultaneously---as the shot is often described rightly or wrongly---but as an attempt to back cut the head ball.

Anyway, I practiced breaking one hole with this in mind and it vastly improved the quality and consistency of my breaks.

Just wanted to share that with people here

Yup, that's a standard, very common 1-Pocket break. Also use a bit of high, inside english.

You're hitting the ball the same, just your perception of the shot has changed from what has been previously mentioned.
