;) I think Billy "Cornbread Red" Burge, Earl Heisler, Boston Shorty Johnson, and Jack "jersey Red" Breit who all left us in the past year or two should all be hall of famers. What do you guys think ?

What do you guys think ? :rolleyes:If you're talking about the BCA HOF, 'Boston Shorty' is already in there :) One thing with the BCA HOF that would make it tough for Heisler, Cornbread and maybe Jersey Red, is that they favor tournament players, not after hours players. Presumably they did that on purpose to keep renegade hustlers out :)

From the BCA web site:
Two categories have been established in BCA's Hall of Fame. The Greatest Player category shall be reserved for outstanding players who have been active in national or international competition for at least 20 years and have won at least one national or international championship. The Meritorious Service category shall be reserved for those who have made lasting, memorable and important contributions to billiards.

That's why they put 'Fats' in the 'Meritous Service' category -- Fats had all those years of TV and personal appearances promoting pool (and promoting a lot of One pocket along the way!), but no tourney wins, although he did place in a couple of early One Pocket events.

I'd like to hear more Earl Heisler stories...
