:D Grady's tornament in Gulfport this week has been great. A field of 59 great players entered the one pocket on Wednesday and they are down to the final 24 by Thursday afternoon. Buddy Hall, Shannon Daulton, Cliff Joiner,
James Walden, Jamie Farrell, Dave Matlock, Wade Crane all in the tournament.
To let you know how tough the field is Cliff Joiner has all ready been eliminated. Bank pool started Thursday morning, Nine ball Friday. The bank ring game should be great - Truman Hogue, Shannon Daulton, Piggy Banks, Richie Richardson, Jason Miller all on hand. One Pocket.org's Steve Booth in attendance to present Grady's intro into the one pocket Hall of Fame Saturday, Steve is super nice guy. This tournament will grow into a very good annual event, Reno tournament this week limited the number of top players, hopefully this will not happen next year. :p ;) :p

I agree whole heartedly with Jungle Dude. In my opinion, it was worth every penny of the entry fee just to be involved and to get to play with and watch this level of players. The facility is also well done and convenient in every way. Since I am just a medium skill recreational player/fan, I was an early knockout victim but I received satisfaction from having played respectably during my matches. Even though it was kind of like being in the OK Corral with spitballs, this event is a must do for anyone who has an interest in pool.

How about some feedback on the action. From the players mentioned, I KNOW there has to be some great action & I'm betting on Buddy.

I could only stay Wed. and Thurs. but saw a lot of good play. Shannon the Cannon was great on banks. Some other name players I saw were Buddy Hall and John Schmidt. Both of those guys go out of their way to be nice and I for one appreciate that. Joe Salvadore has some wonderful cues for sale and letting them go at Holiday prices....bargains. Kudos to Grady and his nice wife.
