I'm curious to hear whether the 1p.o members are interested in the 9-ball tournament announcements that have been posted in our One Pocket Forum?

In my opinion, they junk up the Forum. There is an Events menu under "Playing The Game". I'm personally interested in seeing notices of one-pocket tournaments, but if all the other game's tournys are posted here, eventually we're going to have to wade through all that to get to the member's actual posts.

One man's opinion...

I agree, Doc, particularly since the 9b demon has been exorcized from my soul by the 1p game & players here. ;)

doc i agree with you . however i would suggest ( steve your feed back please ) there should be an events notice section but i would have it listed in the home page where you see forum , members cafe ,etc. i personally have never gone to the events section until you mentioned it doc

Unless its a 1p event, why even list it here?

One Pocket and Banks. Beyond that, our members like to hear about action, but this wouldn't be the place for 9-ball alone, no.

I'm wondering, then, what this ad is doing on the forum?:

It is fairly common knowledge, that such blatent, (FREE) self promotion, is one reason (not the only one)... why this person earned himself "persona non grata" status, at AZ billiards. They have a "Tournament Section" over there, but he consistently chose the main forum to post his "full page" ads. (ala Ed Wheat, who also got the axe)

I respect the hard work he does for his tour, but I do resent his being "pushier" than any used car salesman I've ever met.

PS..Maybe I should disqualify myself, because we've had several major disagreements before ! <---note, no smiley face.

It's worse than all that if he gets a hold of your email. You will be mercilessly spammed for all kinds of crappola. You can't unsubscribe, because the "unsubscribe" function doesn't work, so all you can do is junk filter all the stuff he and his affilates send out.

Just a word of caution regarding the "Unsubscribe" you see in spam messages. Spammers pay good money for a list that is full of active email addresses. When you click the Unsubscribe on a lot of places, your basically telling them that they have a good active email address. While they may unsubscribe you from that one, chances are they will turn around and sell your email to someone else.
