Bill - This is apparently a new term (to me) used to ask (when Hill, Hill), if you want to double the bet & play a new set.
A road player from GA asked me to do this about 3 months ago and I laughed soooo hard, I could hardly speak. My reply was - "The last time I heard that phrase, I was talking to my wife & she slapped me".
But now I use it to wish you - A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!
We are both at the age where we would like to double back ANYTHING just to stay in the game & are willing to JACK anything JACKABLE !!!
TY & GL
ps - I did Double Back & Jacked It - It Turned Out To Be As Nice (for me) As I Had Hoped!

If two guys were playing a race to 5 for $100 and they both were on the hill I have heard the term, Double up and Jack it. Meaning go to 10 for an extra $100. Usually it is the player, "NOT" breaking who suggests the raise, LOL. Haven't heard this in years though. Don't get out much any more, note "Double Entendre", so I wouldn't hear it, LOL.

Just wanted to be the first to wish you all a happy new year. Steve, keep up the good work.Well thank you for your very strong support, Bill!
For me the year is off to a good start already, actually, since yesterday afternoon I brought my wife home from the hospital, where she had undergone surgery last week, and her prognosis is very good for a full recovery. For that we are very, very grateful! It brings home the poignancy of the medical challenges folks like Janice Bludworth have been going through, and how much it means to feel the support of family and friends <-- an area where Sue and I are very fortunate!!
I am excited about the upcoming Derby City Classic! I do expect to be there, as long as my wife's recovery proceeds as expected, and all signs point in that direction.
I am excited about the One Pocket Hall of Fame -- it is off to a good start and I am confident that it will snowball from here. We will be doing something at the DCC -- stay tuned...
I am excited about OnePocket.org for the coming year, as more and more One Pocket players and fans are discovering the site. I don't measure our success by the message board, btw -- I know you guys have lots of options for that sort of thing. I measure success by how people react towards the site once they find it, and how many new people are introduced.
I'd like to personally wish all of you a Happy -- and Healthy -- New Year, and thank every one of you for all your terrific support!! Of course, I look forward to meeting many more of you in person at the DCC, where you will find me wandering the hotel -- with my camera -- my notebook -- and this time, my cue stick :)

Hope you and yours have a happy new years! Or as we say in the Hawaiian Islands-HAOLI MAKAHIKI HOU! It was a great year being able to come here and read posts of serious one pocket fans and making friends with players all over this great country of ours. (Do they play one hole anywhere else?)
Efren is in town this week along with other great players as they will all be in LA for the UPA Bicycle Club tournament. Itll be 9 ball but should be some great after hours game at Hard Times.
