Hi Grady can you tell me if you are going to have rules concerning speeding up one pocket play. i.e. spotting up balls in the kitchen. How does it work? Thanks. I hope to be there.
How do the rest of you feel about this rule.

From a players perspective, I don't like the idea of trying to speed up the game. It changes the strategy. This last week, I saw a match (race to 3 games) last 3.5 hours with the first game lasting 1.5 hours. In the same tournament, I saw 3 matches last less that 20 minutes, one match was 8-0, 8-0, 8-0 in less than 12 minutes. The majority of the matches were less than 2 hours and we were allocating 2.5 hours per match.
From a tournament director's point of view... I love the idea.
Two slow players can screw up a bracket for the entire tournament.

Grady is brilliant. I believe he is not only looking out for the TD but the TV. Common sense tells you One Pocket can never sell on TV in its current length. I don't know if it will ever sell on TV. But, you have to give Grady his dues, he is thinking positively. This is the greatest game ever invented on a pool table and I hope, some day, the general public will enjoy it as much as we do. Hang in there Grady. Keep up the good work.

Tell me though Hemi you must like those long games where you can just torture those nine ball kings. Frozen to a ball and shooting from the rail!!!! That and 2 hours for one game always puts them out of stroke. LOL!!!!!!

Absolutely, Yo. I totally agree with Tom, as far as a players view point. The longer the game lasts, the better my chances of winning are. Especially the older I get. But, I don't play tournaments, never did for that matter, needed too much weight. I am looking at the possibility of putting more money in the game by shortening matches. Just as I believe Grady is doing. Efren, Cliff and alike could care less if the match takes less time, if there is more money in it, I'm sure.
No, I am not bored if all 15 balls are in the kitchen. I love seeing how one of the top players is going to bank out from there.
Anything to help put more cash in the game is a good thing though.
