#1 - held my first cue when I was about 7 years old (1960)
#2 - single: "no" female: "yes" available: "not at the moment"
#3 - Never played it (I'm not a player. Not a groupie, either. just sayin)
#4 - My brother, Mark, was my biggest influence. He taught me how to play. I grew up with a big table in my house. For a little girl, I was actually good. I played from about the ages of 7-9. Never really played again after that.
#5 - Jimmy Reid, of course
#6 - It doesn't mean anything. It's my first name.
#7 - West Palm Beach, Florida
#8 - therapy shopping, reading, tennnis, swimming, walking, enjoying the outdoors. I just recently started taking photographs of palm tree. Sounds lame, but I love palm trees and they make for some beautiful photographs.
I'm a public school teacher, but have also dabbled in real estate investing. I'm also a patron of the arts and a supporter of worthwhile causes. I'm interested in human behavior, and I really enjoy interacting with fun, intelligent, cool people like the ones here on this forum.

Firstly, all this info is available in detail on the Beard's Interview here on 1pk.org.
To reiterate, 69 yrs, 1954, single male looking for an illiterate, runaway, hillbilly dolly. Playing 1 pkt. since 1961. Playing well since 1970. Gene Skinner was my main mentor. Favorite, Harold Worst, then many others. The Beard was a nickname given to me by Sharky from Philly at the Congress Bowl in Miami in about 1966. Im in an area that used to be a kill zone for road players, but is now peopled with nits, just like the rest of the country, and this new breed.

Newfos, No, I think he was a little younger than me. A unique character, we played pool several times. I once saw him boogerloo about $4000.00 away while playing pool in Nashville. He was dancing and his opponent was playing pool. I once asked him for the money he owed me, from a loan after he went broke. he flexed his bicep and said "try and get it" :) He did pay it a year or so later after I lost to him pitching at the line. He pitched very well that night. (and every night) He got in serious trouble in Dallas with his macho attitude.

A guy came through here years ago who I think was Surfer Rod. He was in this after hours joint that had a couple of bar tables in it. He hustled me to play some pool but since I had imbibed too much I declined. He then hustle me to pitch at the line. Well, he fell into his own trap as I was the best line pitcher I ever saw. I said OK, if we draw a line on the dance floor and pitch at that. The owner cleared the dance floor, we drew a line and started out at 200 a pop. I beat him out 4400 and never saw him again.

This past week, Blackeee suffered a very damaging blow to the head. Slipped in the ice, laid his forehead/brow open clean over to his temple. I show up to hit some balls, he answers the door looking like death. And whats he say?

"Go on over there an' get warmed up"
I asked if he was goin to the hospital, and got a truly great answer:
"I aint messin with that right now, I wanna play some ----in POOL."

Frankly, I was scared NOT to get warmed up. lol. SO, here we go at it, and he just gets out from nowhere, bankin, kissin, shootin, Blood runnin down his face, gettin in his EYE.

And through it all, he beats me "Blackee and Blue"
