Gabe and Cliff will be playing a 7k One Pocket set even according to Cliff tomorrow between 2 and 3pm at Breakers Billiards in Mobile, AL. I will update here as I get them.

So then, I suppose that this means that when I told you (2 days ago) that Doc graciously agreed to call off our bet(at my request) because I could not enjoy sweating it without seeing some of it, you did not grasp what I told you? You know, the part where I said that Sylver was up one game when Doc did respond after he got home from work and I thanked him and said we'd do it some other time?

The part where I told you that after playing for two days, Gabe finally won the match. None of that sank in?????????????????

I guess that you were too busy smooth-talking our cute little blond waitress, with the nice bottom, who seemed to give you a lot of attention and kind of ignore me. I guess I can tell you now, she took a sawbuck to hide the Yukon Jack from you:D .

As of 7 P.M., Central Time, Cliff is on the hill in the 7 ahead match. They started at 2 P.M., and Cliff has dominated right from the start. I believe he won the first 5 games, then they went back and forth awhile. At one point Gabe got Cliff back to 3 ahead.

My mole (our man George Bru) said that Gabe is a little ahead in the ball count in this rack. Will let y'all know when it's over. There might be another set if it ends this quickly.

It's nice to see Cliff playing well. Evidently his shoulder isn't bothering him.

Well, for several years Cliff was #2 with only Efren above him...nowadays that #2 ranking is up for debate, with many people thinking that Scott and Gabe have passed him up...I don't know the answer to that, but I know one thing for sure...

As of 7:30, Gabe got Cliff back to 5 ahead. Actually if it goes long, it should favor Gabe; although in this case I believe they've stipulated that they'll stop at 8 hours. This one could go awhile... I'll let y'all know if I hear from George.

hehe... I was thinking the same thing, after all the stories I've heard. Some people have that ability though.... more power to him, I say! I would like to see him book some winners against tough opponents.

I agree with most of the comments...If Cliff plays the way he's played for the last few years...he will lose.
If he can play the way he played 5/10 yers ago... he may win...If he plays the least bit under that...well, I still like Gabe.

Doc....I watched about two hours but had to leave....Cliff was shooting and moving great....and was getting most of the rolls...The momentum was with him but he just couldn't quite snap it off ....

Here is an approximate layout when Cliff was on the hill shooting at a fairly difficult cut shot....If he makes it he probably would have won the match...He misssed a similar shot in an earlier game that lost him that game as well...

But all in all he was pocketing and running balls like the Cliff of old....He made several beautiful 8 and outs.

Gabe seemed to be struggling a little bit....But while I was there he just wasn't getting any rolls.....He made several difficult shots with no reward afterward....I guess the momentum shifted after I left...

I like Gabe's game and he is also a standup gentleman but I would like to see Cliff come out ahead on this one....I'll report back today when they resume play....

There ain't no dumping or crap going on either :( .....

I hope I still remember how to do this WEI table........I'm sure SJD can give me 10 to 5 on the WEI now :D ...I've been impressed by his play with the keys...

Just heard from George. Cliff and Gabe are back to even now, as of 4 P.M. Wednesday...

Doc.....After being on the hill 3 or 4 times tonight Gabe finally snapped it off.

Both players executed some great shots and Cliff held Gabe off to the very end but Gabe just had to much momentum for Cliff to overcome tonight.

Great cueball control and many fine one pocket shots....

Justin Cone was just arriving as I was leaving and Jerry Brock is there.....I'm sure there will be some more action later tonight...But for me, I've got to get the chicken eggs in and hit the hay for an early morning rise....
