Freddie "The Beard" would be a great teacher of One Pocket. He would certainly have my recommendation. The only reason nobody mentioned him as an instructor around Chicago is because he hasn't taught, as least not to the general public.
Ike Runnels would probably be good, too.

If I lived up there I would take lessons from Freddy if he was willing without question. Some friends that lived in the midwest told me nothing but good things about his game and knowledge. I once heard a story about Freddy going to match up with a guy, during the time the movie "Shaft" came out. One of the house guys went to the jukebox and played "Freddy's Dead" from the soundtrack over and over. To no avail, Freddy took it down...any truth to that story Beard?

Since this has come up, thought you'd all like to know that Freddy's book on bank pool is due out soon. He and his publishing partner Randy Givens will have a booth at the upcoming BCA Expo. I won't get into details here, but I can tell you that nothing remotely like it has ever been done, and this book will unquestionably help your game. Watch for it. GF
where do I get a copy if I am not going to the BCA Expo?

As the book will be self-published, I would imagine they'll set up a post-office box number. I will be happy to provide all the details as soon as they're made available. GF

I would appeciate the info when it becomes available.
I'm sure there would be a BD book review by you when the book is ready.
