Raphael Martinez 1st, Billy Palmer 2nd (Actually a split, Raphael won the hot seat & they didn't play), Yours truly 3rd and Bart Mahoney was 4th or 5th. I can't remember the rest. Didn't get out of there until after 2 am.

A few local players who out shoot everyone around here and win the weekly tournaments 90% of the time get quiet as a mouse when I suggest they make the 90 minute drive to Sac and take their chances with Billy and Raffy the Destroyer.

The same A players who don't like giving C players one game in a race to 4 nine ball (meaning the C player has no chance) and say 'Its a good learning experience for them" ...

Bud, my favorite idiotic whine from the better player when trying to match up for low stakes is, "Well we're just playing cheap, so what's to worry about?" The obvious retort is, "Well since we're just playing cheap, and I shouldn't be concerned, then why are YOU worried about possibly giving up the nuts?":rolleyes:
