In honor of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the first Johnston City tournament, I have been entrusted by George’s daughter JoAnn to sell some of her collection of extra original posters, programs and news articles from these legendary tournaments, which I will be listing on eBay over the next few weeks. Included are a handful of posters in varying condition from several different tournament years, including a number that survive from the very first tournament in 1961. Over the thirteen years of Jansco Brothers’ promoted tournaments, nearly every top player played in these blockbuster pocket billiards tournaments.
For any of these items that I have more than one of the same thing, I will list the one that appears to be in the best condition first, and continue from there until they are gone. Also a collection of 1964-69 National Billiard News -- 11 issues that mostly have something either about Johnston City or Stardust tournaments, either pre or post tournament.
