Well, OnePocket.org has just passed its first year on line.

Things I have observed...

It's more work than I expected!
The interviews are a terrific experience to be involved with, and I learn a lot with each one; also ditto item #1 above
I am so sorry I missed interviewing both Earl Heisler and Johnny Ervolino before they died
The One Pocket Hall of Fame has gone over very well -- especially the dinner at the DCC; the guys who have been inducted seem genuinely moved and honored
The forum has been more focused on One Pocket history than on shots, strategy and technique -- which has been a surprise, but then again, it changes
The hardest thing for me has been the occasional 'censoring' (aka administrative moderating) of posts that were either poor taste or inflammatory -- yet you all seem to appreciate the OnePocket.org forum 'tone', and to those that I may have offended, thanks for bearing with me!
I wish I had a bigger travel budget (and free time!) to get to more One Pocket events myself
More members and more posts in the forums are always welcome :)

Thanks for all who have joined, bought shirts, referred other people to the site, posted links to OnePocket.org, contributed to the forum, sent me photos, corrected errors, added tournament information, and generally made it possible -- and fun -- to develop the site.

I enjoy this site because I know the posters must be pretty accomplished & experienced to be interested in One Pocket.
Also - You are doing a great Job - Hang in there.

Thanks for providing us old timers with a place to share our memories and opinions. I have learned a lot from this forum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Continue to moderate and do not let this develop into a flaming place to just cast dispersions. It is your site . YOU be the judge.

My health is improving a little and have not shelved getting info on that Cochrans Tournament in San Francisco in 1962.

Bravo Steve for a job well done with the site and Hall of Fame! I wish I hadn't of dragged my heels until it was too late on the DCC Hall of Fame dinner. When is the One Pocket.Org baseball-style cap going to happen?

Thanks,
Martin

Steve, you've done a tremendous job over the year with this wonderful site! I think it's remarkable the effort and time you've put into this without any financial remuneration. The site seems to be gaining members, and the word is getting around. It's such a pleasure to get on here and not have to put up with any crackpots, flamers or sickos. Establishing the Hall of Fame and organizing various banquets were by themselves enough to get kudos from the entire industry. You can be sure everyone both admires, and is aware of your dedication.

Thanks very much,

Art "Doc" Tripp

Thanks for all the interviews and the time and effort you've put into this venture.

I appreciate all that you've done for this site and for the game.

I too wish you could have interviewed, Earl and Johnny, before their passing but who else on earth even had plans to do so? I can't thank you enough for what you have done here, Steve. It has been a most pleasureable year indeed. Keep up the good work.

Steve you are simply the best. Hey one way to help maybe from us members is to give you some mileage awards to use for events. To help your traveling expenses. I wish you could come out for the Sacramento event on June 13th.
