Pool halls in Buffalo, NY [Archive]

Hi all,

I'm going to be visiting my nephew in Orchard Park on August 1 and 2, I'll be busy during the day but in the evening I would like to visit the local pool hall, is anyone in Buffalo playing one pocket? if yes where?

One of the oldest rooms in the country is in downtown Buffalo -- the Hippodome. It still has many original spectator/player chairs and cue racks, although only has a couple (when I was there) of their original Brunswick tables left. Maybe 'Kling' style? The place was kind of thread bare when I went, but I found a good match up for me.

Danny Kolacz plays in one of the suburban rooms -- real good player and definite nice guy -- he would be a good player for you to catch up with. His problem is that he works a day job :)
