Rule question

Hi
If you are playing some one and you get to the table and your score is -2 and you need eight; if you run out eight do you win or do you need to run out ten. I believe you need to run out ten but just want to hear others' opinions. And no I'm not that good enough that this would be a true predicament for me.

Yes, you must run ten if you 6 you must make 14 balls and so on...This site has a page of one pocket rules for you to check out...

If you make 3,4 or 5 or some number and than miss, the owed balls are spotted prior to your opponent's shot.

If you need 10 and you run the remaining 8 balls on the table, both owed balls are spotted and you continue your inning.
