I read some responses to your addiction on another forum and noted several people made the claim that playing one pocket screws up their 9-ball game. I find this to be the opposite for me. My position play, cue ball control and safeties in 9-ball have gotten better and I have found that I am thinking about what is going on a lot more so that I used to. Have you noticed any differences in any other of your games since you started playing one pocket? Or did you give them up all together? LOL

I have noticed that my concentration in other games is alot better. Also, cue ball positioning becomes fine tuned when playing alot of 1hole.
confidence also comes with this, as its always nice to be able to put the cue ball on the EXACT SPOT you want it, and not just in an area of position like pure 9 ball players do.
granted there is a little difference in the stroke power you use in 1hole, but for me that doesn't present a problem when transitioning back to 9 ball or any other game.
i believe it also helps pattern play, when you are left with a shot or shotS at your pocket, you better pick the right order to shoot them.
case in point, the other day i was playing just about the best 1hole player in the city, we were playing cheap, playing even, which i CAN'T win right now. i got an open shot, and ended up running 7 balls.......i ended up LOSING that game, but it was because i didn't shoot the right ball in the middle of the run, if i had shot the right shot, it would have been an 8 and out.......instead of a 7 ball run and a hard loss.
bottom line is that i have MUCH MUCH MUCH more FUN playing 1hole..........its just more satisfying for me.
