Eight & Out

I like to be more agressive on this shot instead of soft kick on the one ball.Like to kick bank it toward my hole. How would you aim this shot to bank it?When this shot works it's devastating to your opponent but it you miss you sell out.START(

Hi Pete,
This shot I'd hit with running english but it is a bit too far up the rail. My opinion? Let me ask you a question. Would you shoot that shot for $100. a game and playing Grady, Ronnie Allen or McKready? I think you know the right thing to do.
Regards,
C.C.

Pete If you go for those kind & play for $$ you must be a hell of an aggressive player. A soft kick safety is the shot . If you have to go for something, two rails behind the ball & kick it into the stack to knock balls on your side (maybe make one) and the cue ball may take out the other balls or at least go uptable. If your going to go, go all the way.

Ok Jack,
I've thought about it a bit longer. If it was a one ball situation and you both needed one to win? Then, that would be an aggressive shot but your odds would be better. You do have to take into account that it could, double kiss and sell-out. I've seen that situation come up. Still, for my doe, I'd play the kick two rails and up on my side of the table near the headrail.
Take care,
C.C.~~plays aggressive too but trys not to gamble. Not gamble gamble but take a chance gamble. LOL hahaha
Prior to spending way too many dollars on my education :), I too would go for the 1-ball bank to my pocket. Way too many ways to sell out for a small reward however.
Now I go for the two rail kick and if I got lucky the 15-ball (I think that's the 15) would go toward my pocket, the CB would lay against the 2/13, and the 1-ball would also be over nearer to my pocket.

That shot is not a shot to look and make a ball. That shot is if somebody puts you in a bad spot and that is the only way out. Or if they have a ball in their hole and not really a good way to knock it in or get it out. I used to practice the shot a whole lot and when you get them close or make them it is devastating but you have to practice it to much and rarely the right time comes up to shoot it without looking like a total idiot.
