I will be in San Antonio thanksgiving week and would like to play some one pocket. Any recommendations on places to play?

Haven't been there, but friends who have tell me that Banana's is, or at least used to be, a good room for one pocket.

Vivian plays some pretty sporty one pocket, as does John Hager.

43 years ago (when I got out of the USAF) with about $1,500, I went into a poolroom looking for action. Got into a Domino's game and had never played before. Four hours later, I was on a Greyhound back home & broke.

There really is not a lot of pool in San Antonio anymore. Bananas Rodriguez died about 3-4 years ago and John Hager moved to Dallas.
There are a couple of guys around Bananas Pool Hall who might help entertain yourself a bit.
I shoud be around there during th holidays and just ask anyone about Lewis, I'm pretty easy to find and most anyone there will tell you that I'm to dumb to say no!
Oh, and Vivian hasn't been in there in about a year and a half

Bananas Grill and billiards is in what they call the central downtown area right off san pedro and woodlawn. I don't have the physical address with me and just can'y remember right now. The # is 210-226-2627. See you there.
