My friend Pete (the cueman at Planet 9-Ball) and I are novice one-pocket players and we've been playing each other for a couple of years. Yesterday, I beat Pete 5 games to 2. This afternoon we played again and Pete won six games in a row (6-0) when I went to the bar and ordered 4 Long Island Iced Teas (two each). Shortly thereafter, I ordered four more and then four more (six each, total). Pete got stuck at six games and I won six in a row. It was now hill-hill and we played for the "Championship of World" (of west Tampa, south of Hillsborough Ave., north of the bay, east of the Oldsmar Flea Market and west of the Publix grocery). I WON.... that's seven games in a row for ME..... Yeehaaaaa !
I called my wife and told her to meet me at the Chinese restaurant for the dinner buffet, but when I pulled up, they were Closed. Sadly, my wife and I returned home. I didn't get an opportunity to go out to Clearwater Beach today, so I passed out in my reclining chair with my feet in the litterbox.
It's funny how you can shoot better when you're drinking (and your opponent can't)...
