added both tourneys Steve, thanks!

Also, am I reading that one in Providence correctly? If so, that's a pretty cool idea. Not as appealing to me as a player since I don't play bank pool as well as I play one hole but I know a lot of players would eat that format up.

- On the winners side you race to 2 in one pocket
- On the one loss side, you race to 2 in banks (9 ball rack)
- the finals is one pocket race to 3

Hmm, wonder if we will see more of these in the future...

Looks like a fun event, bro. So I presume that your entry fee will be $100?.:)

On another note, I'm flabbergasted, and likewise pleased, to see that there are so many 1P tournaments in Calif. Up through the '90s you'd as likely find more guys in the pool room who could speak Greek, as you'd find guys who would play one-pocket. Now they have events every 10 minutes. I think Hendy, Frank, and Baby Huey have had a great influence in that regard..:)

Funny you say that. At 9-ball I am at most a B but sometimes they try to jack me up at One Pocket lol. What I will not do, is spot any player that clearly shoots and runs balls better than me even if they don't really know much One Pocket. Playing them even is kind of like giving them a spot, because even though I might beat them to the shot say twice to their once -- which would be pretty good moving on my part -- the problem is they turn around and run twice as many balls as me once they do get a shot.

I didn't know that Little Al lived in Sacto. I thought he lived in SoCal. Unless the guy just gets around..:)

~Doc

He has family here Doc and moved up a couple months ago. He has a shop in the same building as Hard Times. This is a tournament to welcome him back.

Hard Times Bellflower is losing the lease as I understand it and will be closing soon. I don't know if they have plans to relocate.

Lil Al has been moved into Sacramento for about 3 months. His sons are living here and now so is he. It's great to see him hitting balls during the days. Very approachable person.

OBTW, He has opened his shop here next to Hard Times.
