Corey for the win.
Corey went undefeated. Winning 14 in a row.
Congrats to our man John Brumback for getting to second place. Corey, who was in the banks zone all week, was the only guy to beat him. For JB at 55, it can't be easy holding off all those younger guns! But he's usually had a couple of years between DCC titles, so I'll be looking for him to win the banks again next year!

Way to go Bille!

Way to go JB, great banking as always!

Cincy, great showing making it into the money and giving Dennis indigestion. :)

Wayne, I have been watching Jerry's results. He has to be playing great. I do not know if he is our last representative or not, but we couldn't ask for a better one.

If he is rested in the morning, he has a good chance of beating Warren.

I don't know if Kiamco has the other Filipino's bad habits of not getting much sleep at a casino.

GO BabyHuey !

Cory had a much better break. No surprise there as he is the master at it. It was very evident watching him play a several different sets. Cost our man JB dearly in the finals. The audience for the finals was the largest i've ever seen for one.

He's played very well. I sweated a few of his matches here and there. Today against Jason Chance he battled a tough one out and took it down. Learned two shots today watching that one match. Rooting for him to go far.

I just got home from my 6th in a row Derby City Classic. Each time I have been "wowed" by the exceptional competition from literally all over the USA, multiple European countries, and the Philippines.

I would like to comment on Jerry Matchin's 6th round victory over Jason Chance. That was one helluva match! I wish it was on DVD. Jason Chance is a dedicated player from Des Moines and a great friend to Scott Frost. I intently watched the last three games of Jerry and Jason's 5 game match. Those three games had a boatload of great defensive moves with dramatic twists and turns. Both players, at all times, thought out each of their shots before pulling the trigger. It was like looking at one, and then another, and then another of Ghost's puzzling WWYD posts after nearly every shot. Nearly all of the time, the shots selected were excellently executed by both Jerry and Jason. Ultimately, I think that Jerry's never-give-up and never-give-in level of play wore on the younger player. This was in no way a lucky win. This was "one pocket" at it's finest! Congratulations to Jerry Matchin.

They don't keep up the Completed Matches page.

~Doc

No they don't, and it sucks big time and is frustrating as hell..:frus..for two days now they haven't bother to update it, not letting me (and so many other people) see how friends of mine, and guys I know, did in the 5th, 6th, and 7th rounds...
