Steve's shot - tricky situation here --- his pocket is at the top left of the table --- 0-0 score --- the 8 will not go in his pocket, and the 11-6 combo cannot be made in his pocket either --- the 7-3 combo is available and makeable, but it is off angle and the 7 would need to be cut to the right --- the 12-2 combo is not makeable in my pocket, can't be thrown in either --- wwyd?

go off the right side of the 7 and push all those balls near my hole, CB with RHE goes to end rail and spins up behind your combo that wont go.

i gotta run balls here or lose later on. so the 7 3 combo and open them up and try to turn the game . plus if you miss you may not even leave a shot.

I like rolling off the right side of the 7 and spinning cue ball behind the 12 4 making sure the cue ball is good . figure to open a few to my side probably high and low and get cover

Shoot the one in the side and put the cue ball right back where it is and let him get creative. Your cut shot gets one ball and if you hit it bad you could open up balls for him.

Switcheroo

Shoot the 15 Full into the l/s of the 10 and carom the 8 towards my pocket. The ten may bank over, but if not the 2 ball will bank back and kick both of em up table. If the ten misses the 2, the 2 will then bank 3 rails towards my side and the 10 will bank towards my side. Key to the shot, hitting the 15 Full into the l/s of the 10.

I'd shoot the 15 into left side of 12, clearing out the 12-2, have the cb knock and 8 over and cb drifts in behind the stack! Whitey

Nah.. What you want to do is carom that stripe toward your pocket and then rebound jo jo off the rail and send that other ball over there also.. Thin it.. You have to know what you're doing on these..

About a half ball hit on the 15 {so the 15 doesn't block the ball on the bottom rail if he should flub up the return} and roll the cue ball to his side rail and then in between the 10 and 2 . I would be trying to freeze him to the bottom ball .
So he can't come off the 2 easily and go up to my corner.
If I don't it will be close and still hard to escape.
I want him to at least have to move the 10 to get away.

I love those double tickie shots, but I know I would scratch too many times on the shot to make it viable.

I am 2 railing the 8 ball to my hole and parking my cb on his long rail.

If I'm feeling confident in the 7-3 combo, I'd shoot it with high ball, opening up the 6 and 4 balls so as to add a few more.

Otherwise I'd roll off the right side of the 7, putting the 3 in scoring position, and dropping the CB in behind the 13.

In a perfect world it would be nice to come off the foot rail and snuggle in behind the 12-2 as some have suggested. But that's an extremely precise shot-- the odds are against it, and if you open up those frozen balls, it only benefits the opponent.

I'd go off the five ball and open up the balls a bit to my hole and stick the cueball behind the the two/twelve balls on his side.
