Had a great time in Mobile and really enjoyed meeting Jungledude and GulfportDoc. Heard that vagabond was there but never got up with him.
Doc and I got in a tad of one and a little 9 just for the sport of it.
Did learn that I no longer have the stamina to participate in a continuous event such as this. After my first match (a loss naturally) I asked the TD when he figured my next match would be? He said it would probably be at 5 or 6 am. Told him the only event I might be participating in at that time would be in my bed, the world championship snooring finals.
One other thing, and I asked gulfportdoc to help a bit with this. During the Gulf Coast Classic that Grady is hosting in December, I would like to get a bunch of us together and take a short charter out in the gulf for a little bottom fishing. Catch some reds, kings, etc. Doc is going to check out some of the boats near the Grand Casino and see what is available. I will make a post later when the time gets closer and see if we can get a head count of who all wants to go to determine how big a boat we need. Talked to several players in Mobile that plan on being at the Classic and expressed an interest in the charter idea. JAM, I figure you and Keith enjoyed drowning some bait on occassion. Hey, I might even put up a prize for most poundage and biggest single catches.
