....your hole though 99% of the time,the break calls for a safety for most guys.Check out a video and you will see the break and how its done

It seems the consensus is the object ball starts frozen to the end rail in the center, and offensive shots aren't allowed on the first shot.
But there are various other opinions. I'm pretty sure there are no official rules for this game.
