Hank
if you look closely at the axis of spin on the cue ball it looks like a 10 oclock hit
and by how much the cue ball is spinning 2-3 tips worth
dont go by where tip pauses at prior to the backswing
philipino players often pause one place and hit somewhere else on purpoise
Hank & Larry, yes I believe Larry has pinned the hit on the cb. What gives it away as being above center is that after the cb contacts the 8 it draws back. Top spin reverts back to draw once it leaves the rail. The diamond cushions will greatly emphasis this pocket billiard principle for they enhance spin, top & bottom. Even though the 8 is fairly far off the side rail the cb still carries the draw into it.
The left spin is to hit the 8 more full.
thanks guys! Whitey
I wasnt watching the pre-pause point, I got lucky and hit the pause button just right to catch the tip in contact with the cue ball.
May indeed be a smidg above the center line but the power in the stroke can elevate the spin rate as well.
Whitey I've been aware of the reversal effect the rails have for a time now. and watching the resulting spin on the other balls confirms it.
Hey Guys, if you like watching good banks, this match Efren is putting on one hell of a fabulous bank show. Really can not remember a bank he missed!
Enjoy! Whitey
