Miserak-- great story! I wish to hell I'd heard about the Johnston City events. I was at the Conservatory in Cincinnati from '62-'67, and it wouldn't have been that big of a deal to drive down to JC. I should have gotten better acquainted at Mergard's. Then I'd have heard about them! BTW, Mizerak was 1 month younger than I...I was going to college in Owensbpro,Ky and a guy who said he was a school teacher annihilated me in nine ball told me about Johnston City. I went, Winnie Beanie, Fats, the school teacher who annihilated me, Cornbread red, Ronnie Allen and everyone I ever admired. I stayed two days never once wanting a game for the first time in my average career. Steve Miserak was a very nice school teacher. Better nine ball player.
