Do you OWN a shot? Do you hit a certain shot so well that you play it even when it is possibly the wrong shot?

It could be a move, a TRAP, a shot, etc.

Is it dependant on playing conditions? Table size?

Get You WEI stroke on, lets have some fun!!!

a standard bank across to my hole. if a player wont shoot that when the opponents balls are open he needs more practice.

oh the other is the spot shot that sjd and his army of followers fear to take a pop at.

except i guarantee for the money and off this forum dick is shooting all the spot shots for the game.

At this point in my comeback, I am the undisputed KING of the "sellout" shot. This is a shot that I used to make years ago, and even though I've had a long layoff, my mind tells me I can still accomplish it. Sadly, though, the mind has only a part in the execution of the shot and the physical aspects fail me. This shot is usually watched in disbelief by the opponent and any railbirds, and after said shot has been executed, the opponent is all smiles and appears to be very grateful for showing him the shot.

No, pretty much happens on any table, any condition. In other words, it is a very consistant shot and can be relied upon, without fail:D

NFS, here's a shot I'm sure not too many have seen (except I think I may have posted this shot on here before but it's been a while :))...not the three rail bank itself, just the way it's shot and the time of the game. The shot doesn't present itself too often, but if it does come up it will be in the first few innings after our break. Force follow with running english to get the cue ball back into the stack.

The purpose of the shot is to stay aggressive while keeping our opponent in the stack. My thinking is, leaving my opponent long here by simply sliding off the one ball is giving in to my opponent and I would be in danger of losing position in the game with just one shot.

Please assume we cannot one rail the 1 ball back into the 3/13.

I wouldn't say this is my signature shot but I have played it if the balls lay right.

You gotta hit it pretty firm with follow to get the ball to carry to the pocket in my experience.

the Dudley double kiss bank.... :D

I like your logic Senor.....

Why be passive, keep them moving at the hole.

Thank you Dudley :) Leaving them long is definitely a part of the master plan, I just hate doing so with a favorable stack.

I will try it tomorrow. How full do you hit the OB?

I would say you hit barely on the fat side of the ball (so I remember) the angle of the cue ball into the kiss has allot to do with the results.

Try it out and let me know how it goes.

I tried the shot out on artemis rails today (I normally play on super speed) and couldn't make the shot work....

I guess this double kiss shot is very equipment dependant.

You hint towards a high-ball hit... this is an option....

Sorry I never followed up Dudley. I kept on forgetting to try the shot. I had not been in a pool hall in 2 years, so when I practiced a little this week, I was concentrating on stopping my ball
