Well I finally took my on advice and said F.U. to the world of Omaha poker...
That's right, here's how bad I deemed the game of Omaha... I was totally staked to play it, on a 60% / 40% basis! both ways... In other words, when I would win, I would get 60% of the win, and when I lost, I would owe 40% of the loss... That's right, I would owe it, they let me owe whenever I lost, and when I won, they would pay me 60% of whatever I won that day.... And I quit!!!

That's how bad I believe the game really is... It's a total crap shoot, in fact, shooting craps might well be a better way to try to make a living...

I started making the drive again to Louisiana to play two card poker in the casinos... The rake is $7.00 max and the games are beatable... They have bad beat jackpots and daily drawing for cash and all kinds of other giveaways during the week... I'm playing on my own bankroll again and it's kinda fun so far, although I can see where the 2 hour drive will begin to get old...

I am a grinder, and play small ball poker, preferring not to mix it up to much pre-flop... I prefer to play in the $1/$3 NLH games because I can limit my exposure very well and can still grind out $500.00 plus wins daily if things go reasonably well...

I hesitated to post this in the journals, but I know there are some out there who play poker and feel that Omaha is a great game... I'm here to tell you...IT IS NOT!!! You will eventually be bald from pulling your hair out over the beats and big flop misses that occur frequently in that nightmare of a game called Omaha...

Yeah sure, it's an action game, and if you're an action junkie you are going to play Omaha, it's a lot of action, and when you're winning, it's a shit load of fun...
Then comes the other side of the coin, you lose, and it ain't no fun no more and now the money's all gone, and you're talking to yourself about how you missed that 4 card rap with the nut flush draw dealing it twice!!! And how they caught two running cards to beat you outta that $6000.00 pot... Like Keith said in, The Color of Money, it's like a nightmare, it's just keeps gettin worse and worse...lol...:)
