  • Hello one pocket players! I participated in a seven (7) player round robin one pocket tournament last weekend that left me and some of the other players and spectators confused! The issue is "Who is the official winner?"
At the end of the tournament, two (2) players appeared to bee tied for 1st place with 8 games won and 4 games loss. The first and only tiebreaker employed to this point was "points allowed", which in the tournament sponsor’s opinion was 54 points each. Your opinions are sorely needed!
    Option 1:
The sponsor felt the next tiebreaker should bee a "1 game playoff" between "Player A and Player B".
    Option 2:
The tournament director felt the tiebreaker(s) could bee found within the framework of the round robin flowchart (ie;most overall points scored, scores in head to head matchup, etc.)

Please pick an option that you deem best gives an official winner. In a few days I’ll follow up with what actually happened. Thank you in advance for any input!
