I don't see any numbers on the posts either. Where are they located?...

I think the 11 straight back is the easiest shot, taking care not to leave a shot for the opponent on the 15 if missed. Otherwise, the 10 is bankable cross corner (no kiss).

Heh. That's a strange handicapping system. It certainly ensures some short games. I used to like establishing 3 or 4 spots, then assigning each player the closest to his speed. So all the games were fairly regulation in length.
Still, it's nice y'all have a 1P event to play.....

I'm surprised he played off the 3. Looks like he could have banked the 13 straight back into the 3 balls, and hid the CB behind the stack....

For those who are having trouble with the fonts and vague characters, the "Denim" selection is much easier to read, and it's larger/bolder. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page on the left. There is a menu with a down arrow. Open it and select "Denim". There are others...

Isn't that roughly the same shot as Whitey's? Perhaps this one is further off the rail.
Nice looking table. What is it?

The denim makes everything stand out a little bit. The problem with the order of the dates in the posts is that if you change it to the most recent first, you have to scroll down to where you've already read. If you change it to the oldest first, then you have to go back and navigate forward, sometimes...

I hate to be a negative Nellie, but I don't like this upgrade. It's ugly, confusing and it's difficult to navigate. I suppose a person can get used to anything, but right know it's a pain in the neck. Perhaps when the wrinkles are ironed out it'll be better. I'm not sure why it had to be changed....

Shot selection here is completely contingent upon whether the 3 can be hit. Does YK recall if the 3 can be hit?

Makes one wonder about the sanity of some poker players. Perhaps they're simply sicker regarding action than are their pool playing counterparts...

Bill partnered in a good action room for awhile several years back. Perhaps they weren't getting enough business to support it....

To my eye it doesn't look like the CB can pass through the 11-4 gap. If it can, then the best shot is to do something off the 3 ball depending upon how much of the 3 can be contacted. If not, I'd likely shoot the 14 straight back with low left, drawing the CB up against the 5 ball-- a very makeab...

Heh, heh. Yeah, "head rail", "foot rail", "up table", "down table", "head string", "foot string"-- all should be standard pool table nomenclature, but there's still occasional confusion and/or misunderstanding. In the past I've proposed using the pocket numbering system for reference, as in golf ...

Great shot, but super aggressive, especially from off the rail. I'd be afraid of selling out the 11 ball near center table, or leaving that hanger combo.

Ha! Good shot, bro. I didn't see the shot because I assumed the 4 was too close to the 6, even though your first picture showed that it wasn't..
Sometimes we look for tricky shots while missing the obvious!

Mitch, I'm confused. Is the shooter's pocket by the 1 ball?...

Yeah, the hit has to be perfect. I could only make the shot about 1 out of 10 tries. I'm on a Diamond Pro Am, but I had the CB at diamond 2-1/2. It's really pretty akin to a tough trick shot or fancy shot. It's interesting though, because it doesn't seem like it would go.

Strong reasoning there, Mitch. The opponent had nothing open, so why put something into play for him? Glad to hear you got a roll...This was a good wwyd. Lots of choices, but only 1 or 2 good ones. It didn't appear to me that the CB would pass the 2 on either of the cross corner combos. ~D...

Ghost, I think you and Jerry are referring to the 12 ball, aren't you? The 10 ball is beside the CB. Good shot. I like it!

Since nothing goes in the opponent's pocket, Ben's shot is a good one. In order to make the 1, a guy probably has to use pretty fair speed on the shot. It looks like the CB can miss the 2 ball, but it would carry uptable pretty far. If the 1 should drop, there are more sitting there to be made. A...
