Vapros, decipher the rule that Jewett posted, that explains it a little more than how I explained it. An Example; on a shot I jerk english my cue over side ways and move a ball which contacted another ball ( a disturbed ball foul), the nine balls comes around and hits one of the balls I moved and got...

In BCAPL it is not a foul and the ball would be restored, even if it is the game winning ball such as in 8-ball. But in any game if the game winning ball is pocketed in combination with a foul then it loss of a game. Such as disturbing two balls illegally and the game winning 8-ball drops in accidentally....

I set up this shot with the ob about 1" straight off the 2nd. diamond & cb about a ball and a half straight off the head string diamond. I think this is pretty close to how you have it set up. Nick Varner is right, for you can not go across the face of it to bank it for there is a kiss, so...

Steve, I've been thinking there are other possibilities for your bank game when more players are involved, such as; playing it like you would 3 ball, in which a player counts how many shots it takes to bank the 3 balls, least amount of shots wins the purse & for a variable, bank attempts could count...

It just came to me; that when handicapping if the shooter pockets the opponents game winning ball and also pockets their game winning ball then the shooter wins no matter which ball is pocketed first!
With our new layout I do not see how to access our rules, but this rule is either in our Official...Last edited by Dennis "Whitey" Young; 12-03-2019, 03:02 PM.

The shooting player, which is A pockets the game winning ball for player B but also on the same shot pockets the game winning ball for himself, thus player A wins. In our rules when a scoring ball is pocketed for the opponent and also for the shooter the order of which they are pocketed does not matter,...

Very Clever, and attractive for it's quick, and a lesser skilled banker might step up for they only need two. The shorter the ball count race the better it is for the lesser skilled banker to have a little better chance. It is like a race to two in 9-ball anything can happen!
It would...

I would think just straight away from the ob would work nice. This famous bank surely is in Freddy's material you have, or you can set it up pretty much on the angle. Maybe some of the members know the name of this bank, or know of a video of this bank, or can diagram it for you.
On Valleys...

Sorry, Island Drive, no 5" pockets here, no humidity either, high desert you see. I don't clean the balls for any of the banks or shots, no juiced up balls here. Maybe that is how I made it, I did not clean the balls, that has to be the reason....Last edited by Dennis "Whitey" Young; 11-22-2019, 03:33 PM.

Hank, that must of been quite a feeling making that bank! Congrats! I was thinking that your table might except that bank pretty good. Another bank that I bet works on your table is; have the ob off the rail by the side pocket the cross side bank wide of the opposite side pocket, and then it will reverse...Last edited by Dennis "Whitey" Young; 11-22-2019, 12:48 PM.

JR, there are two primary rule bodies, WPA and BCAPL/CSI. Grabbing the ball after striking it on the break; WPA has it as an unsportsmanlike act referee discretion, and BCAPL has it as a deliberate foul resulting in the opponent having the option to break or let the breaker re-break. Both ruling bodie...

It sounds like you are portraying that I am suggesting circumventing our Official OP rules, not at all, those stay in tack as Steve desires! But to prevent the on going continuing rule discussions from always coming up, I then advise that OP.org develop their own General Rules, compreda! I can pr...Last edited by Dennis "Whitey" Young; 11-21-2019, 01:45 PM.

That is so well said, bravo! I am still holding out hope that OP.org will come to the realization that they need to develop their own general rules instead of relying on WPA. This can be accomplished. Modern General Rules which includes videos, diagrams, specific glossary including slang vocabulary...

El Chapo, to answer your question according to the rules (WPA) when gambling. The rule on the break is that the referee at their discretion administers an unsportsmanlike penalty. But the penalty is not specified. The unsportsmanlike act is always the same so why then is there not a specific penalty....

No, you got me pinned wrong in this case, for I am no tourney player, never did! In action the WPA rules get thrown out the window, they do not mean a thing. Players know the basic rules. If the action is good, I'd would not say a word to him, and let him re-break. Since I know the break rule, I mig...Last edited by Dennis "Whitey" Young; 11-19-2019, 08:03 PM.

Bob, I believe this is the Mike Shamos rule, correct me if I am wrong. We now see it pictured and depicted in bcapl/csi whereas the ob is frozen to the side rail by the side pocket and is stroked across the side pocket and now is pictured frozen to the other side rail. Now a legal shot! Mike state...

Pilot, we had a thread on this or it came up in a related thread. What happens if the breaker does not connect with the rack then What? Obviously it is a foul, and the breaker score is now -1pt. But, I believe it was Doc that suggested to have an opponent option of having the breaker rebreak or th...Last edited by Dennis "Whitey" Young; 11-19-2019, 01:16 PM.
