Cool...the problem that I see is table availability and coordinating matches. If that roadblock could be thought through you might have something.

I could be wrong but I don't think you will have much of a chance holding any sort of mini tournament at the actual casino where the DCC is being held just because of table availability.

However, in another thread Miller posted about the pool room in Louisville not too far away. We may do a mini 1p tourney or match up for action or whatever people want to do.

Just throwing that out there as a heads up for whoever is putting it together.

Bank shot closed its doors in Louisville, ky. effective 11/25, they sold the building and retired.

how about working in a banks tourney amidst the 1p event in Fremont next June?

Good idea for sure!

At the Derby, you guys should all know that we are often able to grab one of the tables in the action room in the morning when they tend to become available, and with enough interest from a few of us, often we can keep that table all day, passing it along from one challenge to another. If we had enough interest we could probably grab two tables, and that would be enough to string along a simple tournament over a day or two I bet.

The way it works is you cannot let any non-member onto the table even for a second -- and definitely not for any challenge -- or it is liable to be gone! Especially as the day goes on into evening, players get pretty aggressive about wanting the table and who can blame them. Also, you CANNOT hold the table without feeding it coins, so it is a commitment and there has to be enough player interest to keep it going.

I have a table at my house for the best coast players. Billie has a table for the Southeasterners and there must be a place near Chi town. Winner from each bracket plays at DCC. We should have four players though. A bank tourney.

I would love to see a member's bank tourney happen. Just for the record, I would prefer full rack banks, but I understand that some folks may object to the Chicago-style game that would bring about...
