Gee, I wonder why the site that you claim to make fun of(but still find time to quote and reference all of the time) has more players and more top players. Maybe it's because there's so much going...

I'm close to Sam's Billiards, on the inner-east side of Portland.

Nah, I've never really played anywhere outside of Portland. I may know who you played, if you could describe them. I'm just a...

If you come through Portland, I'll play you some. If you'd like to play some decent players, I could probably hook you up with somebody.

Edit: Isn't it the Golden Fleece that has some strong...

At least Dennis was thoughtful enough to save me the writing. It helped me win my APA match yesterday, too, against a decent player(you guys would think he's at least a 4!).

There are a lot of...

After BCA was over last night, one of the better local players stopped in. I've been wanting to play some banks with somebody better and know that really good players tend to think they have the...

You finished up your statement with the statement, "Most of the American players are losers who don't want to work for a living, therefore they've never invested the time in learning their craft." ...

Take the 15 with some low-right and spin the CB back up into the corner to get at those balls. If the leave's off, I should still be in a good position to hook the CB up there.

On second thought,...

Bank the 3 back into the 2 and leave the CB on the 9. Anything else I can see doesn't do much and/or leaves a similar response.

Hmm.. perhaps, in governmentspeak, I had "misremembered." I thought it had been in a post that devolved into discussing banks at pocket speed - it was more of a discussion question, not necessarily...

Yes, it can bite a little more, I think, but that's about it. Unless there's something special that I don't understand past the 45-degree angle or something, I don't think a non-funky hit using...

Well, what I mean is that the OB isn't hitting the rail well enough to get the full bounce effect. Kinda of like using inside on a rail shot so that it hugs the rail - the OB just kind of rubs...

I've always seen that kind of shot as more of a skid against the rail, having mis-hit with inside while trying to do something too touchy. A similar amount of outside should spin the ball away with...

How does inside on that shot open the angle? I'm thinking you cut it a little further over than you may suspect. But, I suck in comparison, so I'll just wait and see what other people say. :o

I'm pretty sure there was a thread on this in which Brumback and a few others went over the double-kiss "rules" in detail. Good thing about searching the Bank Pool forum is that it's fairly new so...

He used a wee bit of left to try to create the angle. Makes the bank a little tougher when you start fudging with widening the angle. Had he not scratched, the leave wouldn't have been all that...

I wouldn't try messing with the 9 unless I'm spot on. I'd take the 6 back with a little draw to zig-zag the CB. You miss that 9 and you could be up a creek real quick. I would just hope that...

I thought about the 4-rail, but the 1 and 8 seem to be in the way. I like the idea of the 1, too, but I'd try to keep the CB towards the opposite corner as the rest of the balls. Even getting to...

If I believed myself to have a 50% chance of blocking or making either the 8 or 4, I'd be all over those. The angle for the 8 looks like a scratch if not hit with something to avoid it and, playing...

I don't see anything that's not too risky, other than bumping the 8 to block the 7 short into the corner. If you bump the 7, you may leave the 7 or 8 for the side, maybe even the 4 all the way back....
