I can't remember the match it's from, but I have a clear memory of Duel shooting that cut shot.

Tough spot! Crossover bank the 9 playing 100% to leave the CB on the headrail (long rail then short rail). The 8-ball shot is not free and the 6 may not go. The 9 should end up in a helpful spot.

Looking at the 2-railer, I'm pretty sure that I can get the CB to the long rail but would have to be at the table to know for sure. And the 13 ball bank is pretty good.

This is 100% what I saw and why. I like banking the 13 into the 15, too, but the 2-rail cue ball path is a little fraught though it is there.

It helps to remember that RRs make more efficient use of tables. To get through 32 players in DE, you would use 16 tables for 4 rounds (1 round for the initial matches, 1 round for the first winners...

I'll go anywhere, and hope to be in better playing shape in 2020! 16 tables is a big plus, but we can make do as needed I'm sure.

I like this -- very reliable and especially tough if you pull the cueball back 4" to be besides the 7. Just don't overdraw it.

Maybe I play on Diamonds too much, because I thought this was a trick WWYD. Stop shot on the 11 with a bit of left to flatten the bank out. Pocket speed to hang the 11 with the 10 protecting, and...

Tough one. I'd probably send the cue on the natural 3-rail path to my pocket, which is conveniently lined up with the back of the 5 ball. Go long/short/long and behind the 5. Reasonably large target...

Straight pool seems mostly dead, except that it's alive and well in Richmond, VA. I was there earlier this year and went by Greenleaf's. Their busy straight pool league was just ending so I asked if...

This is simple and saves time. I'll join the crowd in voting for it! It's not what we did in Philly, but it makes a lot of sense. (Still with the option for the opponent to check the rack.)

Also,...

Also, when matching up, you need to worry about both the number of games played and the number that you win, since most people don't play till they drop and pool halls close. If you...

Rules question

I owe 3 and my opponent needs 2. I run all the balls so balls have to come up. Do they come up one at a time or do 3 come up at once? This was an 11-7 game to start.

Thanks
