I encourage everyone to get involved in this great site that Steve has set up.
I mean, if you look at the other news groups they've become pretty dull.
If my event in Gulfport, MS in Dec. goes well, in 05' I'll add Straight Pool. And you won't have to belong to any assn. to play in it.
I herein respectfully lobby for everybody's support for this years tournament, Dec. 8th thru 12th, 2004, which features One Pocket, the U.S. Open Bank Pool Championship, Nine Ball with Grady's rules, an $18,000 Bank Pool ring game, Hold-em Poker, bar table 9 Ball and 24 hour action.
My wife, however isn't crazy about us continuing to lose money on the sport we love. So I have ppromised her that if we lose money again in Dec.I won't do more events.

Is there anything in your future plans, assuming you do well in December, for any tournament activity on the West Coast?

Grady,
A few questions from a sucker 'C' player. How much is the entry into the One Pocket tournament and is the field cut off at any certain number ? If you enter the One Pocket tournament (or any of the other events) are you entitled to Free entry as a sweator to ALL the events ? Do you have to play in any of the pool events in order to play in the Hold Em tournament ? Why is the sky blue ? Do I look fat in this shirt ?.... Doug

Lunchmoney: I tried to put something together on the West Coast but just couldn't. Maybe at some later date.

Doug: The entry fee for the One Pocket is $150 and yes, if you enter any of the pool tournaments you get free admission for the whole thing. This does not include wives and backers. You do not have to play in any of the tournaments to play in the Hold-em. (Casino ruled on that.) The sky is blue because and remember we've seen you fishing in the gulf with your belly fully exposed so the shirt is a big improvement.

Do you plan on making it to the tournament, Vagabond? Would love to say hello in person. Maybe buy ya a drink or two. It promises to be a big time winner. Anything Grady is involved with usually is.

Grady, When will you know the days of the week and the start times for the individual tournaments? I'll have to rearrange my work schedule in order to play in a few of them. The entertainment center is huge at the Gulfport Grand. How many tables will you have, both 9' and 7' ?

Thanks,

Doc

I'll have 16 big tables and 10 bar tables. As far as the west coast goes I'd love to start an annual event out there but don't have very good connections at present.

Gulf Coast Tournament

Gulf Coast Tournament

I am looking forward to the Gulf Coast event and the opportunity to see and maybe, if I can overcome my fear factor, actually play with the really good players. When and how will the entry fees and information start to be collected?

This web site is truly a great thing.
