Yes, I really did buy it. Maybe because I'm really comfortable with following 3 rails with inside, a shot I use a lot. I don't think it reduces my make percentage on the 3, and it looks like it sits well to follow to the middle diamond on my downtable long rail which gives a good straightback angle.

First, the angle is flat enough to reduce your make percentage. Any time you hit a shot that lays on an angle similar to this angle you need to increase the speed of the shot to get the movement from the cue ball needed to go where you described. Plus, not only that, the 12ball is frozen, meaning that you need to end up closer to the rail with the cue ball or the position for the 12ball will not be suitable for banking it. If the 12ball wasn't on the rail then it would be a more appealing way of playing it, even then I would pass the method of following three rails, too risky.
What about the importance of getting in the "one hole", plus what would you feel like if you missed the 3ball and it went to your opponents side of the table.
