I love the game and want to play some folks too, however, as I think I mentioned before since I haven't really played much in the past 20 years my game is going to be quite lower than most of the others here at onepocket.org. So if we can come up with a good game, count me in!

If not, I will at least be on the sidelines watching you and eating some of those pepperrs :D

Sounds great Cincy. We will figure something out for cheap fun. And yes, I will be bringing some peppers. 🌶🌶

looking forward to it. be there sometime sat through sometime wed. me and my road partner kollegedave.....:p

going to get in one last good sparring session tomorrow at teacher's place with "shit stirrer lou":D:D. lol. (gotta work some righteous hours next week and probably won't hit very many balls....)

my psr is all over the road right now and not much feels right. hope one of two things happens: (1) draw a couple of other "ordinary" guys and have an opportunity to go a few rounds in, or (2) draw a killer just for the experience.

see you all there.

:)

Thats kind of where I am Miller...

I hope I either draw someone I have a chance of competing with and by just playing well I can win a couple of games or even advance OR just draw SVB / Alex / Frost or whoever and at least get to experience playing one of the best in the game right now

I'll be there, 5th year in a row now. Last year was my first year competing. My goal was to win a single game in a match... Which i did against a good player. My goal this year is to win one match. I'm also looking to match up a little with some weight needed against most of you world champions on here:p

John....after this post of yours, if I didn't already give the best stalling/speed-hiding award to Jerry, I would have had to strongly consider you for the award...:heh

I don't think i'm out of line needing weight from pro speed players. I can name lopsided losses playing even to several on here.
And i didn't forget, I got a quart jar with your name on it Dan

Ok John, you've convinced me - I hereby retract my statement...:)...and besides..I've got a much better candidate to share that stalling award with Jerry...he's made so many "woe is me, I donate to everybody :(" posts, like the most recent one copied below  how could I have slept Jim for the award...so here's the shared award winner for most onepocket.org stalling...:heh ----->

I am sitting here at work just thinking I have 2 more days to work before I get to play some one hole at the DCC! Getting pretty excited, it can't come soon enough!

I need to create the official "I'm lame and I'm not going to the Derby" thread, and then post in that one.

Hopefully next year for me. . .

Good luck, everyone!

Driving might be a little tricky from the south Saturday depending how much snow is coming in each driving area on Friday. We could get 8-10". That's not good in this area.

Geez, the snow is starting to worry me, I sure hope it's not too bad (I will be driving Sunday morning probably early to get there in time to practice some).

I was planning on driving there and driving back home each night (about an hour and a half one way)..but if I decide to get a hotel last minute, would I have to take a taxi to the casino or do they have tournament parking or does anyone know?

Thanks!

There's plenty of parking at the casino, so you needn't be concerned there. The nearest town is New Albany, which as I recall is about 8-10 miles upriver from the casino (the first town on the west side of the bridge from Louisville). There might be some hotel rooms available there. You'd have to phone around.
