That is quite a compliment coming from Billy Incardona, but you will always be "Tom-Tom" to me.

I had always been reluctant to mention your one-pocket prowess on the public forums in the past. I guess it's that old-school thinking that players desire to fly under the radar. I guess you're out of the closet now, Tom-Tom! :D

Tom-Tom was probably one of the strongest players in Maryland at one time. There will never be another Randolph Hills and the old Bill and Billies in Glen Burnie. :p

No, not at all. I like your nickname, for sure! :)

I've known Mr. Wirth since I was a teenager, and we used to call him "Tom-Tom" because he'd beat you down like a drum on a field of green. :D

The name you have bestowed upon him is brilliant. Well done!

In fact, I am thrilled to see Tom Wirth receive the recognition he deserves in the one-pocket realm.

Great!!! "The Voice Of Reason" it is.

Tom is so refreshing, that and his knowledge of the game along with his ability to comfortably communicate makes me believe that he is "The Voice Of Reason"
Thanks Jam.

I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did. Chivalry was alive and well in those days. Honor amongst rivals is a concept worth reviving.

Be well & stay warm in those northern skies.

Hi Fred,
I've met Ronnie a couple times but not down this way. It was years and years ago. I have a friend in the Ft. Lauderdale area who is good friends with him. I know Ronnie was hanging around one of the casinos in Pompano. I don't know if he is still in this area or not. I will ask my friend if I can pass Ronnie's # on to you. If the answer is yes I will send you a PM. Best I can do.

Hey Tom....I'll use this thread as an opportunity to say that although we don't know each other and have never met...I know that you're a nice guy and a good player..because...

About 12 years ago, at what might have been the second DCC , I clocked you're game for future reference....:heh...

What happened was, you and a good friend of mine drew each other in somewhere's around the second round of the One Pocket...you and my friend had a close match and you wound up winning 3-2...so I knew your speed from watching that match, and I knew you were a nice guy cuz my friend said that to me after playing you...

Good to meet you 12 years later here on onepocket.org anyways...

Thank you Ghost for chiming in. It is good to know that following a match, the people I have played have been generous enough to say kind things about me. For you to have remembered that is praise indeed. I believe that after we are gone from this world all we take with us is the reputation we leave behind. After all, we all want to win. Play hard, but play fair and respectful.
Thank your friend for me please,

Tom

Thanks, Tom, for those wise words. Listen up, folks! The reputation we leave behind is under construction today. Like right now.

I know Tom since 1989 , Tom is one of the greatest guy's you ever want to meet ... and dozens of players (road agents) avoided him for years.

Tell us a few stories Tom ... Gumphries, Geese, Bus Driver, Beenie and Strawberry ... I know you have a thousand stories. Share one with us.

Tom is a very humble person , maybe JAM can get him to tell us a story.

Hey Tony,
You are tooooooooo kind but thank you very much. You've got a lot going for you too my friend.
Maybe tonight I will tell you all a bed time story. I'll have to think about it, but don't we all have our own little war stories to tell?
