some of the new members might not know about all the interviews with famous players steve booth has done and are available to read on the site
they are listed on the left on the home page
here is an interview with cecil tugwell
http://www.onepocket.org/CecilTugwellMemorial.htm
It seems that in this interview Tugwell is claiming that a car crash caused his switch to left handed. Then again reading a lot of his answers to pretty simple questions make it seem that his memory was not so good or fuzzy.Just my observation anyway.....

I like it at 1:03:07 when Cecil starts talking about the ball movement and slam-banks at the 14 ball (I believe). I've seen players do this after losing a match or game many times over the years. I think it is kind of funny to see their frustration being relived and even funnier when they miss the bank/shot that they are slamming. I couldn't hear everything that Tugwell was saying but it appeared that he was trying to justify his moving the object ball by saying that his opponent could have put the ball back anywhere he wanted and that would not have been fair to him. Lol Or maybe I got the translation wrong. Regardless, I enjoyed watching this older video since I had never seen Cecil Tugwell play before. Tugwell has got some skills on and off the table. I've seen Mark Tadd play a couple of times and even shared some tea with him one DCC several years ago. Nice guy that Mark Tadd.

Cecil Tugwell v. Mark Tadd 1993 LA Open 1-pocket Match had a rules controversy around the 45 min mark. This was just posted on AZB Forum and thought some would be interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1f2h02f7rg&t=3098s (sorry, the URL starts after the controversy)

This was posted by "Onepocket73" on AZB, does anyone know him?

I had heard of Tugwell before but never seen him play.Quite frankly I think he out moved Mark in this match.Tadd just out shot him overall.Don't get me wrong,Tadd was a great mover too,but I think Tugwell knew more about the game and actually did out move him here.Just some key mistakes made at vulnerable moments that cost him the match.Plus,Tugwell was not the offensive machine that Tadd was when given the opportunities.
