I have been playing 1P for a couple of years now and have a question regarding a foul by pocket scratching. This may or may not pertain to balls that are consider pocketed.

Any way here is the senerio:
You have pocketed several balls in your pocket and are shooting at another ball, the ball goes in and then bounces back onto the table. The ball is considered NOT pocketed. Your inning ends.

Now consider this:
Your opponent has scored several balls in their pocket and now it's your turn. You have a tough cut on a ball into your pocket but there is a likely scratch in your opponents pocket(remember it has several balls in it). You make the difficult cut and the cue ball goes into your opponents pocket but bounces back onto the middle of the table. No scratch no foul, you keep shooting right?

Thanks,

The standard general rules address that fairly specifically -- this is from the BCA web site:
3.20 CUE BALL SCRATCH
It is a foul (scratch) if on a stroke, the cue ball is pocketed. If the cue ball touches an object ball that was already pocketed (for example, in a pocket full of object balls), the shot is a foul.
In otherwords, the rule is a little different if it is the cue ball, versus an object ball.
