Default First ever Canadian!!! WWYD

Unbelievably somebody came to town to play me some one pocket. First time since Hardmix (Ben) came in last month (love that guy).

Anyway I got corner with the star. We are playing 10 (me) to 5(him). Score 8-1 and after I banked the FIVE towards my pocket I clipped another ball and almost scratched into a pocket that I figured was impossible to scratch into (thank you deep shelf Diamond and I leave him here. His shot. I'll give you a clue. He didn't foul (I would have).

WWYD?

think i would send the 1 up near my rail or kiss it off the14 if i can, and try to make it and leave you the long shot where you have to turn your cueball loose if you shoot that.

it doesnt look like you can hook him with where the cueball is.

if you make it then i change the game anyway a ball or so.

I agree with "beatle."

The score is supreme in deciding the shot selection. I am losing 8 to 1. My opponent needs 2 and I need 4. I would shoot the 1-ball (thereby having two balls somewhat near my pocket) with the mindset of stopping my cue ball as close to the pocket/rail thereby making my opponent's shot at the 5-ball, if he decides to shoot it, a more challenging shot.

I also feel like shooting the 1 to the extent you can toward my pocket -- my side anyway -- leaving the cue ball in the corner I believe leaves the shot on the 7 tough enough even for Nick!

that close to the 1, it may be hard for me to shoot an effective shot without fouling the CB (for me).

I almost like thinning the left side of the 1, CB to his long rail and settling down on the foot rail middle diamond.

I would take a scratch on the one ball and hopefully leave it where he canít hide me from the five uptable so I can take a swing at getting back in the game.

Either get back in it or start another one.

I would play super soft off the left tit back under 1 to get a legal hit. My plan is to out nip him after that to get my shot.
