Yes it was a great display of his ability and why he is still the best. Great run from Shannon Daulton who I felt let Efren off the hook again just like at Galveston.

Congratulations to Shannon Daulton for taking second! It's amazing that he can step up and play so well, when he probably doesn't play as much as he used to, and also that he may not get to play much 1P over the year.

Shannon has beaten Reyes many times, but as Lenny mentioned, Shannon seems jinxed against Reyes since the Galveston Classic several years back, when he played poorly in the final.

Of course one can't take anything away from Reyes. He's still a champion, and an opponent really can't afford to make mistakes when playing him.
