Can you give more detail about that shot?
looks to me like the angle is almost perfect to combo the ten into the 15 side and make the 10 in the top corner while controlling the cue ball on the low rail

Why would you want to make the 10 in the top corner? Your hole is the one nearest the cue ball. Maybe you're shooting at the wrong hole.

Wink

Unoperro's selection

If I need 2 I am shooting the 10 at the headrail a 1/2 diamond from the farthest corner.

Trying to leave whitey near the rail, all 3 balls in a line.[/QUOTE]

Michael (Unoperro), I like this option for both instances.
And, if you do happen to pocket the 10 ball in corner, the cue is in a very
good spot near the rail and the opponent's pocket.

When I saw your response, I was shocked, knowing your game and imagination. VERY conservative for you.

the person needing two wants to have both balls in play. so if you only need one you must be very careful about shooting a shot that can leave him a bank where he only has to get back up table to maybe get out.

so shooting at your pocket or towards it has to have a big chance of making it or hanging it to be viable.

Whenever I can I move one of the object balls to this position, If the 12 were not so good for 3 railers I definitely would have done this.

probably the shot that gives you the best chance of winning needing one is to cross bank the ten to near the side pocket on your side and go up and down the table to the short rail with the cue ball.

not sure if its the best shot needing two. something along catkins shot may be that.
