Jerry, It's no wonder why your games take so long to play. YOU PLAY TIGHT!!!

banking the 3 and leaving him in the stack is better than coming down low if you can do that.

down low he may get a two rail on the 7 into the stack or the combo and destroy you.

every shot cant be chosen on the basis that you hit it perfectly as you rarely will.

toby didnt seem to look at the 3
he was determined to make the 6
he came off the 2 and made the 6 and put the cue ball in the stack by the 13
the 2 kissed the 7 and came back up to the stack

Tom Wirth: Thanks Tom, yes I do play tight. I don't like opening up the rack unless I have to. The shot of making the six and landing the cueball into the rack was well thought out. Much better than my shot. Give up the ball for tactical advantage and move on to the next inning keeps you in the game.

I wonder if he planned on banking the 6?
Thats first shot I looked at. Where 2 -6 - 7 were going ? is why I looked elsewhere.

I would be interested in seeing the next 2-3 shots from here. My thought is that Toby has put himself in a poor position. Toby's shot here would have been strong if he shot it to protect balls near his pocket. The fact is that he has no balls in play that threaten DD. My guess is (I have never watched this match) is that DD put him on the top rail near the corner on Toby's side. Now Toby has to come with a shot downtable with a bad angle and probably with only the top of the cue ball to work with. If he leaves DD with a path to the long rail near his pocket for either the cue ball or another ball it will probably cost him the game.My preference was to carom the 3ball off the stack and leave the cue on the bottom rail. I am not suggesting to hit it hard enough to send balls all over the table but enough to pocket the 3ball and push something to his side.
