Well fellas I took a wwyd also while these two brothers of ours were playing.. and here it is . You are facing your hole (Hole is bottom right by the 6 ball). JoJo is wayyy up in Canada by the top corner and nothing goes in your hole except the 9, and even that barely passes so even Alex may look for a different shot. The 1 goes in your opponents hole as does the ball by the spot.

WWYD???

this was my shot and result on first try
the 3 ball in my result diagram was set where the 1 ball is in your diagram
mitch
i have the ball in the middle of the table in a different spot so the cue ball might collide with that ball and the shot is not doable
i tried to show different cue ball paths in the diagram based on spin and hit

I would have a difficult time facing reality here. I would start calling my opponent names, and maybe blame Jim the Pilot for my current predicament. I’d try to start playing bank pool maybe my opponent wouldn’t notice...

I’d try a stop shot on the 4 so it hits the 6, maybe they’ll clear out and he’ll be doubled up on the cross corner...

Except that you are facing your pocket (by the 6). Lol

That's a good shot, Larry, and it turns out very nicely.

An aggressive shot would be to play the 8-6 combo, with emphasis on knocking away the 1 ball with the CB.

But I like your shot better.

Now that my caddy has lined me up properly, I think I like lagging the 1 off the bottom rail toward the bottom half of the 6, hopefully nestling the 1 pretty close to home, and sending the CB back off the long rail back uptable in between the corner we started at and the center of the rail.

I am definitely cutting the one thick and putting cue ball on the back rail playing it thick so it has a chance to go off the 6
