Went to the horse races yesterday for the first time ever, for a work function. I bet 5 races. Won all 5. Even the old man at the ticket counter was laughing. When I collected the fifth ticket I said to him.. ďWhy do they even call this gambling?Ē 😂 I know this is what happens. Then I bet for the next 40 years and never win again. I sat out the last two races. My plan is never to bet another race and retire the ponies undefeated. Oh yeah.

Someone is testing you. Take your own advise and never go back. Use your free time, when warm enough, to work on your golf game.

You're on a roll, never quit a winner ! the plan is quit when you lose one.
I won 10 hands in a row playing Blackjack, I said I'm quiting, my partner said don't quit a guy across the street just lost 20 in a row.
I won 4 more and lost one," he said get outta here."

Hypothetically how much would you have won if you let it roll over every race? So how much did you lose by not doing that?

You can win every race and still lose money so did you win ?

Interesting. By that math I did leave money on the table. But by my math I walked out with a small chunk more than I walked in with so Iím still calling it a win.

As all gamblers know - the less you bet, the more you lose when you win.

You had to attend a social event. You felt compelled to wager. You won and had the willpower to leave with the cash. Good for you.
