Does anyone remember a bank pool player named Curly. How good did he play? I have someone telling me he played as good as Bugs? Sounds fishy to me. How about an older Cleveland black bank player named Tom England?

Thanks,

Dave

Rev; Too bad our resident "Pool Historian" Freddy, "The Beard" especially in "Banks" is no longer with us. He would have already penned a sporty report on these players, if known to him! Which would be most likely!

The Curly you mentioned may be Curly Moon who lived in Akron after moving up here from Alabama. He did not play Bugs speed but was good and a very interesting fellow. Also an excellent fiddle player. Curly stopped at my home here in middle Tennessee on trips back to Alabama. Sorry to say he died a few years back, but he was a legend in the pool halls and on bar tables.
