Took this shot to the table. I was surprised that it was hard to have it come out badly, except for one time when hit too thin, and resulted in a kiss. The 12 goes uptable 2 rails, not simply up the opponent's long rail. The CB comes back to center long rail on the shooter's side. I suppose, hit harder, the CB could go twice across.

I am 2 railing the 13 and focusing on trying to keep the cb on my long rail.

Shoot the 12, 2 rails over to your side and bring the CB down table, hopefully doubling it up.

It looks to me that the speeds don't match up.

its basically making the cue ball go longer so they are not on a collision course. draw, spin, different hit all can accomplish that.

This is a tough layout, and one that definitely will determine the winner.

There were a lot of excellent choices here, as all of the members different choices pointed out....so Pat chose to shoot Ben's shot, but, just as Doc warned about, Pat accidentally killed his stroke and hit the shot much too soft...and it turned out like so >>>

It was this shot that Doc suggested, that I chose to shoot here..Art, we often think alike re. shot choices as you know...

I hit it with about a 1/4 ball hit on the 12 - It came out good - didn't leave John a viable shot (the 2-railer on the 11 would be very risky for him ) - it ended up like so >>>

P.S. Larry...I considered your shot, but the possible kiss (if I didn't hit it correctly), and also the chance of going 3 rails and then scratching in John's pocket (I've scratched in the past, in that way, shooting that shot), decided me against it.
